Nuclear heart Stress Test Findings.

Heart:  NM Myocardial Perfusion Rest Stress Test results?

Findings: Mild Wall hypokinesis perfusion defects are identified in lateral wall, inferior wall and septal wall the calculated left ventricular ejection fraction of 51%

What does this mean. I had a sever heart something my bpm raced to 240 and stayed over 160 for 30 min causing me to have this test. I have rare irregular heart beat and have had palpitations off and on for 15 years this however was the worst attack ever. Can you help in explaining these results.

Thnak You,
Lisa

Hypokinesis means in layman's terms that things are moving slower than usual.  The ejection fraction being at 51% is OK (some people here in the forum may be jealous wishing they had such a good one), but it is lower than the average, but not terrible.

You need to discuss the findings with your cardiologist who ordered the test to find out what it means and what the plan of care is next.
