Echo report

I just had my three year echo done.  I was showing ph last echo now I am not.

my results were::

normal ventricular systolic function
mild concentric left ventricular hypertrophy
mild or trade 1 diastolic dysfunction
aortic sclerosis without stenosis, mild to moderate aortic insufficiency
mitral annular calcification, mild mital and triscupid  regurg
normal pulmonary pressure

All these results were the same 3 years ago except the aortic insufficiency.

I am a 72 year old female and my cardio said I have aortic leakage and need to have a Echo  in two years to recheck this. I have no symptoms, sob, chest pain or swelling

I really do not know what you need to know the number for this leakage so will give you the measurements. I have a copy of the report so if you need more info I can give it too you.

my EF is 60
my B/P was 188/82 at the time of the Echo. Can this B/P affect the outcome of the Echo.it  dropped to  132/70 after the test was over. I do take 5 mgs of lisinopril daily but have White coat.

Do you feel waiting two years for a recheck is fine or do I need a 2 nd opinion.
..

Measurements are:

lv systolic diameter plax-4.3 cm      lv relative wall thickness-0.65
lv systolic diameter  plax-2.5cm      aortic root diameter-2.7 cm
ivs diastolic thickness 1.3 cm          la systolic diameter lx-3.9cm
lvpw dfistolic thickness-1.5 cm

I thank you for your time, Line

I failed mention I see the cardio in a year. I still am not understanding how tis insufficiency was found. Are the numbers hard to make positive from the echo,? Two echo's I showed mild to moderate triscupid regug and now just mild.

This arotic leakage I am fearing, I .read too much on the internet and am so afraid of having the surgery.

My cardio said he actually felt my  echo was great for my age.

line.

Your echo does not look too concerning.  If you do have some mild to moderate aortic insufficiency, follow up echo in two years barring any new symptoms is likely fine.  If you feel more comfortable having it checked in 1 year, ask your doctor if this is ok.

Blood pressure can affect some measurements on the echo, but I don't think your echo numbers would have changed much with a lower blood pressure.  Hope this helps!

I thought maybe it would be more helpful if I posted rest of the measurements.
