PVC--pounding

I have had PVC's for about 5 years, sometime they come every other beat for about 10 beats, things start to turn gray, then every third beat then 7, then 10 then 20. My cardiologist said they are nothing to worry about [sometime i'm not so sure about him ]. I have recently been in hospitol for A Fib. three times, it took three days to get it back to normal, last time they did a chemical CORDIO-CONVERSION, THE pvc'S WENT AWAY FOR about two months-sure was nice--there back--just had a CT scan --the left atrium is enlarged--4.5--new DR. ia considering  an abloation--but left atria is too enlarged--going on a 30 day moniter to try and pinpoint the problem-
My heart pounds like it is trying to get out of my chest-- it my do this for 30 minutes or three days--i have tried to explain this to DR.s but they don't get it, [ Well you'r just intouch with your body]- that's why i changed DR.s--- Went in to V.Fib twice last time i was in, sure was glad i was in hospitol.
Has anybody had this conglomeration of problem's????
I can't stand much more of this POUNDING--isthere an answer

Hi

Are you sure V.Fib, or did you mean V.T (Ventricular Tacchycardia)?

If you've been into V.Fib you need pacing!.

Sorry to hear that you have so many arrhythmia problems. Actually, a 4.5 cm diameter atrium is not all that enlarged (less than 4 cm is normal). Mine is 5.2 cm and not so enlarged that a pulmonary vein isolation ablation wouldn't be worth trying. However, IMO your vfib really complicates matters. If meds can't control the vfib and afib, an option may be to ablate your AV node (to isolate the atria from the ventricles) and install a pacemaker with an ICD. Was that ever mentioned? Hopefully, a suitable mix of meds will be found that will avoid the ablations. Anacyde is right, you should see an electrophysiololist, as your case needs to be looked at by a specilist in arrhythmias.

Best wishes

Tony

If you are not yet seeing an electrophysiologist...you need to.
