I had a CABGx5 in 2001, which resulted from the inadvertent detection of a dangerous arrhythmia pattern. Now I'm experiencing what I assume to be PVCs, but only at night while I'm at rest and for a couple of hours after I arise. When I'm exercising they never occur. My cardiology NP has no explanation and no concerns, since I recently underwent an ECG and an ultrasound, neither of which revealed anything negative. The pattern is invariably either "beat, skip, beat, skip, beat, skip, etc." or, more frequently, "beat, beat, skip, beat, beat, skip, etc." Because the pattern is somewhat similar to the arrhythmia I experienced in 2001, I was alarmed at first, but am now thinking that, since I was a runner for decades, my body is going into a state where less blood is required, so somehow my cardiac system determines this and reduces its workload. Is this possible?
