Pain in right forearm

I have a burning pain in my right forearm about halfway between my wrist and elbow on the underside, right side.  I would describe as a shooting pain or stinging pain that happens several times day lasting less than a second.  I saw company nurse and she says it does not have carpal tunnel symptoms.  My only concern is that I feel a burning pain in my chest, then belch and a pain goes shooting through my forearm.  Would this have any relationship to a heart problem?  Any explanation between the belching and arm pain?

Dear Tom,

This pain is likely from your stomach and the arm pain may be referred pain from your stomach as well.

However, i would menntion this to your internist to have these symptoms fully evaluated.

I'm not a doctor or anything, but sometimes when I have gas pains, I will also get a squeezing pain in my shoulder.  I first thought it was a heart attack (except I wasn't having chest pains), but a doctor once told me it was called "referred pain", where something can be going on in one part of your body, but you will feel pain elsewhere.  When I get these pains I will lay on my stomach and after burping I will feel much better.  Just a thought!
