Plavix & Vegetarian diet ??

Under normal circumstances, there seem to be many heart health benefits to a plant based diet, yet I am concerned that shifting to more green foods will increase clotting factors, which is undesirable considering I have 2 new stents installed.   I would like to know if this is an issue as some investigation suggests that Plavix works by a different mechanism than other blood thinners which are known to be affected by Vitamin K in green leafy plants.

Even if there is no direct interaction between Plavix and Vitamin K, is it known whether vitamin K will still act to promote clotting in the presence of Plavix?

Just to add. I think the cardiologists would warn us not to eat leafy greens. If we can't eat veggies (nearly all have some vitamin K) we would have to live on meat which is the opposite to recommendations.

As far as I'm aware, Plavix doesn't interact with natural vitamin K in foods. It's a different story with supplements though. Green foods are excellent for artery health, this has been proved virtually hundreds of times. The body is built to chemically break down foods and extract nutrients, rather than be stockpiled through pills. I've seen many people for example on potassium pills and getting very nauseous. I tell them to stop the pills, eat a couple of bananas a day and hey presto, potassium levels back to normal. Nature feeds us pretty well as long as we put the right things into our body.
