Quick question about heart rate and pvcs or pacs?

Hi I am 32 years old.  I have pvcs and pacs, have been told except for being aggravating, that I am ok.  (with the feeling of a heartbeat in my throat every now and then.)  Well my question is sometimes my heart rate goes up, like 130 then it goes low like 54.  It also pauses. Is this normal?  Some days it is high, some days normal, some days low, somedays it bounces back and forth like a ping bong ball.  However, whenever I have sex, or a climax, my heart rate goes in the 50's.  Is this normal?  I hope that I have not offended anyone by this question, but I don't know whether it is normal or not.  Everyone I have talked to says your heart rate goes up not down.  OOPS, just realized that it is two questions, hope it is okay.  Thanks.

My heart sometimes seems to stop as well.  Longer than just a pause after the early beat.  In fact, when it stops I don't feel any early beats, its just beat, beat, beat, pause...... then it beats really fast for a minute or so.  The pause is long enough to make me feel a little wierd.  I don't like it.  My doctor says not to worry.

Dear Chrissy,

Heart rate is a very dynamic parameter.  It is quite normal to have a wide range of heart rates throughout the course of the day.  The pauses are most likely due to the PACs/PVCs and occur after the extra beats.  The heart rate response during sex in generally elevated due to increased activity but may decrease secondary to increased autonomic nervous system activity.  Both responses are normal.  Hope this helps.
