Severe Heartburn/Acid Reflux after Stent

My husband had a stent placed a little over 2 weeks ago. He took Prilosec OTC once a day prior to his heart attack for heartburn/reflux. Since his heart attack and stent, his heartburn/reflux has become much more frequent and severe. His doctor prescribed Protonix 40 mg once a day, but he still has to take antacids throughout the day to try to control it. Has anyone else experienced this and how did you resolve it?

Yes, I’ve been experiencing heartburn and Prilosec, none of those pills help.. Tums is my go to, but they do contain a lot of calcium.

Same here,  I take aspirin, ticagrelor and rivaroxaban everyday after stent placement. These blood thinning medications especially aspirin affect the gastro intestinal tract. My doctor advised me to take antacid medications twice a day to counter this issue. It helped for 4-5 days, now again I have burning sensation in my tummy back again. I will wait for a few days and meet my cardiologist again. As of now I don't have a solution for this.
