Shortness of breath still after 7 stents placed

I have had 7 stents placed in both left and right arteries.  I still have shortness of breath.  I have had a nuclear stress test that came back normal. Heart disease runs in my family.  Found out my mom had problems with her mitral valve.  I'm curious if that could be part of why I have difficulty breathing.

If the echo report did not mention serious mitral valve abnormalities, it is almost certain that your shortness of breath is not from your mitral valve.

It could be that despite the 7 stents, the blood supply to yuor heart is still not optimal.
And there is the medication as a possibility.
I suggest you discuss this with your cardiologist. He/she may have ideas of the cause and perhaps has solutions to at least lessen the discomfort you experience..
Thank you

A simple echo can reveal problems with the mitral valve. A cardiologist can often already detect problems with a heart valve by using only a stethoscope.

How much time has passed after placement of your stents? It can take some time for your heart to recover from the period of ischemia. Also, some anti-coagulation medication that you are taking now, can cause shortness of breath.

Slowly building up your ability to exercise during weeks/months after the placement of the stents can show remarkable improvements.
