Should we seek more help for my husband?

My husband is 72 years old, smoked the majority of his life. He had a mechanical heart valve put in August 2005. He has been having recurring dizziness, weakness, tremors and fainting spells the last few years and they are getting more frequent. In 2014, he was diagnosed with Sinus bradycardia w/intermittent 1st degree AV block, mild plaque in his carotid arteries and grade 1 diastolic dysfunction. Our GP says he is on all the medications to treat this problem and doesn't seem to want to do anything else. He cannot walk 10-20 yards without having to rest. Should I be requesting him to see a heart specialist? He hasn't seen one since his heart surgery follow-ups in 2005.

Yes, definitely. You should consult a heart specialist. If possible, go and see the same doctor so that the continuation might help your treatment cause.

Yes, I advice you to see a cardiologist.
Looking at the symptoms, sinus bradycardia can be the cause of the problem, but also something else may cause that your husband is getting tired so quickly.
If it is the bradycardia, a pacemaker could perhaps be a great help for him.
A cardiologist can do a few tests to track the cause of the problems.
