Sleeping heart rate dips down

I ve noticed lately (since April) a heart rate while sleeping has dip down to (lowest) 36 just for about 5 mins then back up into 40s and low 50s ... Mostly happens in early morning hours between 4am and 630am .. Last night lowest was 45 at about 3:30 and then back up to 57 at 3:35am.. This is from wearing a fitbit hr and I've tryed  several of my family's to see if it was fitbit. I know they 100 percent tho never had this low. Reading before April . It's not every night manly in the high 40s and 50s... Resting heart rate during the day is average 61-62. I had stress test last sept did the 12 mins no problems. I had echo in feb. 16 everything normal ... Holiter moniter in early April PVC about 17000 tho cardiologist not  concern .......... Holiter was on before heart rate on fitbit was dipping. ...
I'm activity tho don't consider myself an athlete. My father has low resting heart rate tho is high 50 tho don't know at night.... I'm worried that these number I should be concern about just turned 50 and sister passed 8 years ago sudden cardiac  do to a thicken in left ventricle of. Heart ....
Any info would. Help

A low resting heart rate (below 50 is called bradycardia) is,  normally no problem, as long a you do not have symptoms of dizziness, fainting or shortness of breath.
However, it is up to the cardiologist to determine if it is harmless or not.

Bradycardia does not necessarily mean that you have a thickened left ventricle, so your situation may be quite different compared to your sister's.

Still, sudden cardiac death can be caused by bradycardia so it is of importance to get the "green light" from your doctor.

take care,
Ger

O Victoria, are you really measuring heart rate at night? lol

When your cardiologist says it is no problem, be assured that it is and do not worry anymore.
Sleep well :-)
