Sternum removed during valvue replacement

I had my aortic valvue replaced and a bypass June 2005. I had 5 surguries. I had an anurizm one cbg and had muscle flaps grafted from my chest and stomach.  I am now experiencing pain  and cramps down my legs.I  think maybe from the cbg on the left leg or catarization on the right leg.I also have black and blue spots on the back of each leg.
Do you know if anything can be done for this or what has maybe caused it?

I went to the doctor yesterday.  It appears my leg cramping, bruises are do to low calcium,. magnezium.  The doctor said to take 1400 mg in morning and night.
hopefully that will help.

I'm not sure if your valve replacement is related to your new symptoms, but I think you should make an appointment to be evaluated.

My Dad had muscle cramps in his legs and it turned out to be peripheral arterial disease....blocked arteries in the legs.  Do you notice that the pain/cramping stops when you stop moving?  Muscle discomfort can also be a side effect of some medications, but don't guess...get it checked.

Not sure about the bruising, but it could be from medications.  Are you taking a blood thinner, aspirin?

Please give your doctor a call and schedule an appointment.  Let us know how you're doing.
