Stressecho

I had stressecho done and it showed that my left ventricle had:
1. Mild concentric hypertrophy.
2. Diastolic left ventricular dysfunction with impair relaxation doppler pattern (grade I)
Left atrium: Mild dilatation
Aortic valve: mild calcified. Trace aortic regurgitation.
Can anyone tell me the meaning of all these abnormalities?  Thank you.

Nothing on this stress echo strikes me as concerning.  Depending on your age this might be an excellent echo, or may have some things such as mild LVH which merit watching over time.  I imagine based on this echo that you have high blood pressure that needs a bit better control.  But based on this echo alone, you are not in any imminent danger.  Hope this helps.

just one point: I had an echo with dubotamine two years ago which showed among other thing grade one  diastolic dysfunction. The next one two weeks ago showed Grade 2. In the nterval I had follwwed all medications - carvedilol, statin, aspirin etc, diet, hard exercise. But my DD deteriorated. One cardio said it's age (83) and/or genes - like it's the luck of the draw howver strict you follow orders. So ask hard and insistently, if I were you and let's know please.
