Simply losing weight brings down the trig numbers, but losing weight is no easy thing to do. Foods with high sugar contents raise the trigs. Beer and hard liquor certainly jacks them up, wine less so, it's a more complex sugar I'm told. Also, a diebetic diet would help. I lowered mine greatly over a twelve year period by losing 50 fifty pounds over that period of time, exercising daily and taking 2000 mg of fish oil daily.
