Minimal or mild and trivial valve regurgitation is a normal variant or finding on an echocardiogram and should not be concerned over.
I have had moderate mitral regurgitation for many years, and I have at least one echocardiogram per year. When I was younger, the appointments were farther apart, but now I have 1-2 echos per year. Was this your first echo?
Hope the followup appointment goes very well. Take care and keep us posted.

They said both were mild. I am read that as it progresses that is when symptoms generally appear. I had chest pain and some other symptoms that made me go see a cardiologist. I have a followup appointment. I wonder how often I need to be checked to see if things have progressed.
TR = tricuspid regurgitation (leaking tricuspid valve)
MR = mitral regurgitation (leaking mitral valve)
Does the report say how much the valves are leaking? The leaks can be anywhere from trivial to severe. Leaks that are severe are usually considered for treatment. Otherwise, depending on the nature of the leak, you may or may not be followed with serial echocardiograms.
Hope that helps.
