Triple vessel disease

Dear sir

My father is detected for triple vessel disease, out of four vessels
1st vessel - 50% block
2nd vessel - no block
3rd vessel - 50%block
4th vessel - 70 %block

He is 60 years old &does not have diabetics or any other problem, He is under medications ,
He has not undergone bypass surgery .
Often he is getting giddiness,  Does he requires surgery ,
I have consulted two doctors,
1st doctor has advised me to arrange for operation as early as possible.
one more doctor has advised me not to go for operation till he gets any symptoms of heart pain .
can u please reply clearly whether operation is required also the cause for giddiness

The second doctor's opinion follows the correct protocol according to AAC/AHA guidelines.  Generally, blockage less than 70% is not considered serious enough for a stent unless there is pain associated with the blockage and not controlled with medication and then a stent before a bypass (surgery).

There is absolutely nothing stated in your post that warrants cracking open your father's chest cavity and performing a risky operation.  I have a totally blocked left decending coronary artery, 70% blocked ICX since at least 5 years ago, and doing very well with medication.

Giddiness as in lightheadedness?  That can be due to medication especially blood pressure med.
