Trouble with Plavix?

I had 2 stents put in about 5 months ago and started on Plavix.. Since that time, I have had problems with chest pain and stomach pain, along with a host of other pains. I had a second cath to look at my heart because of the chest pain and the heart was said to be fine. Having a hard time sleeping at night and anxiety is building because of the pain. Anyone else have these issues? Also, is there a blood test that can be given to see if the Plavix even works for my gene make-up?

Yes there is a test to see if Plavix works for you.
The test is quite expensive and (at least in the Netherlands) not done routinely.
This means that in those patients where Plavix does not work, there is a big chance that their stents become completely blocked in a matter of days/weeks, leading often to catastrophic myocardial infarcts.
When you have taken Plavix for 5 months, you can be assured that it works for you.
