Unusual heartbeat pattern?

Hello,

Let me explain what heartbeat pattern I get when usually it beats around 60 bpm.

It is like a BEAT beat pause BEAT beat pause.
BEAT - a stronger heartbeat;
beat - a weak, quick one;

In other words the first beat comes after 1.6 seconds pause after which the second beat occurs in 0.4 seconds. And so in a row it can last for many minutes or until I start moving around, it gets back this way to normal.

Now I have done ECGs, ultrasound, they came back normal. I wore holter and I experienced these episodes during, but they say they did not find anything serious...

Please, is this normal variaton of heartbeat or something to be concerned of?

It sounds as if you may be experiencing PAC's, PVC's, or both. These are early contractions from the top of the heart (atria) or from the bottom of the heart (ventricles). Usually, these are benign and cause no ill effects. They are symptomatic in some patients, more so at rest (night) when you are lying down. If your heart is structurally normal we generally reserve treatment ONLY if your are having symptoms that are limiting your ability to perform normal activities.

On holter report they called it "Sinus Arrhythmia", but when I googled more about it, it doesn't show any connections to regular patterns what I've mentioned. They found 100+ supraventiculars, so maybe it's an supraventicular bigeminy instead of sinus arrhythmia?

Hello. It sounds like pacs or pvc's. These are common arrythmias where the heart beat comes fractionally earlier than usual. It feels like a pause in your pulse, but at no time does your heart pause or stop - there is just a slightly longer wait because the beat has come early. I get lots of them as do many people on here. If you have had ekg and echocardiogram and a holter, your doctors should have a good idea of what the strange beats are I am sure you can take their word that they are benign. They are very unpleasant and worrying though, so you may want to look at cutting out caffeine, energy drinks, alcohol, and see if that helps. They are often stress related too. I am sure your doc could tell you whether they are pacs or pvcs. If your heart is otherwise healthy, doctors don't seem to worry too much about them unless you are having thousands a day and they cause unpleasant symptoms. If they are causing you distress, beta blockers seem to be the first thing to try. Best wishes.

Sounds like bigeminy or trigeminy PVCs, but could be Pacs also.
