What can be done for blockages after a triple bypass?

Hi. My grandmother had triple bypass heart surgery about 10 yrs ago. She is currently in the hospital with more blockages. They are performing the angiogram now. She is 73 yrs old and still pretty spunky. My question is, will she need surgery again? And if so, what are the odds of the surgery being successful and making a full recovery?

If she is open to changing the food she eats read up on the research of Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn.   I followed his advice to lower my cholesterol and did so within 3 weeks of eating healthy.  His research is very impressive.

You will have to wait for the results of the angiogram. Blockages can be treated with bypass surgery, but in many cases with minimal invasive angioplasty (stenting) or with medication.
Dependent on the outcome of the angiogram and taking into account your grandmother's physical condition and the fact that she has has bypass surgery before, the cardiologist will advise what the best option is.
