Hi I am 35, and I had my first echocardiograph while in the hospital, I have an appt. with the cardiologist to go, over the results but my question is my echo stated that I have preserved systolic and diastolic function. When I looked on line it stated that that was a sign of heart failure, is that really true. I finally found a site that said that an e wave of 0.7 and an a wave of 0.6 was actually normal and not preserved? My echo also stated that I have a boarder line intermittent prolapse of the anterior leaflet of the mitral valve does any one know what that means? I also had a ejection fraction of 73% which I read from this site that that was normal. If any one has any comments I would appreciate it. Thank-You.
