59 yr old male, triple by pass in 2000, I have ten stents, never smoked do not drink, family history Dad first heart attack at 45 lived to 79 COD was a CVA, Mom lived to 83 COD Parkinsons, Brother (63) and I both t2 insulin dependent 10 years both CAD.
Now I have all major arteries in Heart Blocked the only way to get blood is co-lateral arteries wlak 1/2 block Angina (Unstable at best) many meds always in touch with DOC any thing else..... I see him in 2 weeks again.....Heart operating at 70%
The fact that your heart is operating with an EF of 70% is very encouraging. I am assuming that you are on a good medical regimen including beta blockers, nitrates and calcium channel blockers as well as ace inhinitors, asa and maybe even plavix. Also, the diabetes should be well controlled as well. There is a procedure call ECCP (extracoropreal counterpulsation) which can help with chest pain. Finally, there is medication called ranolazine which has also been shown to help out with chest pain as well.
