What's going on?

Ok so I'm 17 and I'm having a bad heart problem. When I was 14, I was diagnosed with tachychardia, and the doctor said it was probably dued to puberty and hormonal change. It stopped at the age of 15 and a half, but now it's back again and it's worse than before: sometimes my heart beats regulary, but I suddenly get like 2 consecutive extremely fast beats that leave me out of breath for about 2 seconds, and make me feel like I'm collapsing. Can anyone help?? It's getting more frequent and it's extremely annoying!

Thanks in advance,
Jay

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Ventricular tachycardia is usually due to an underlying heart problem like myocardial infarction or heart valve problems. The underlying cause needs to be dealt with and also medications are given to regularize the rhythm. Please consult your doctor for further evaluation.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

if it was VT I would go back to the doctor as soon as possible and tell him about your symptoms.

Well the doctor said it was ventrical tachycardia... and something that had to do with mitral valve!

did the doctor tell you what kind of tachycardia it was? Like, were they coming from the ventricles or the atrium?
