52 year old male, normal cholesterol ( TC171 LDL86 HDL43), Normal BP (110/67 90 day ave), work out daily at 80% - 85% of max for 45 - 60 mins, don't smoke, don't drink and no family history. Lost 70+ pounds over the last few years, could still loose another 50. Had nuclear stress tests and echos in 2005 & 2006 and a third normal echo in 2007. All due to some chest pain that turned out to be a gallbladder. No symptoms currently at rest or while working out. Only issue is some runs of PVC's all my life that come and go for a week or so at a time. Doctor checked them out last week said no issues. Cardiologist said they were benign in 2007.
Question is, how often should I repeat the tests? I gauge my health by my exercise tolerance, but wonder if I need to get checked out again, but I don't like the risk of a false positive.
Your thoughts?
Thanks,
Jon
