Just read this somewhere and had to share:
Never be ashamed of the scars that life has left you with.
A scar means the hurt is over and the wound is closed.

My open heart surgery scar still shows through my gray chest hair even after 6 years - I don't think about it. But I do recall my wife saying something about it a few days ago when I was about with my shirt off.
Of course there are mental as well as physical scars. Both must be accepted and in a way that does not decrease out quality of life. I am grateful my scars are so minor they are easy to wear and live with.

You need a hairy chest :) It helps to hide things.
