abnormal echo test for the heart

My husband just had an echo test done and came back abnormal,  he is 38 the findings were;
Mild thickening of the aortic leaflets with preserved excursion.Valve appears to be trileaflet.
Impression: abnormal study with mild thickening aortic valve without stenosis.
He will see a cardiologist today to follow up but  I am very concern, what other tests can they do? and what this means? please help!

I am 48 yo male, same issue. Mild thickening of aortic valve leaflet. Otherwise excellent shape. Did you ever find out if thickening= sclerosis= calcification?. Is this abnormal for us guys at this age. No doc wants to commit an answer. I am still worried and confused?????

Don't panic.  I had an abnormal echo at one time.  The Cardiologist might will want to do a TEE test, go on Google and type in TEE it will give detailed info what its all about.  No big deal, I had it done.  A TEE test is usually done if the echo is abnormal.  My TEE test proved that everything the echo said was false.  The Cardiologist might also order a stress test.
