advice!!!!

Hi i am 36yr old female and recently had a heart attack, had stent fitted but since iv been having alot of chest tightness, nausea,and pain and i frequently have hot sweats and cold sweats too and sometimes pain in the top of my left arm and my feet are like ice and purple all the time, my urine is a very dark orange and my stomach has swollen to the extent people think im pregnant, and my ankles swollen up yesterday but gone down now, i have recent had a scan and the results were basal septal hypokinesia and mild reduced lv systolic function and i am soon having a radiation scan in 6 wks but no one is actually telling me whats happening to me, can you help? i dont understand anything!!!!!! x

From your description, it is not absolutely clear that your symptoms are related to your heart. Sometimes an MI can result in a reduction in your heart function that can lead to heart failure. Some of the symptoms of heart failure are swelling in your legs, shortness of breath, abdominal fullness and bloating. The scan you describe only mentions a mild reduction in the systolic function of your heart. It would be inportant to see your doctor soon in order to make sure that your are not having heart failure symptoms of congestion and fluid overload. You doctor will also be able to investigate other possible causes of your symptoms

Wish u well , kinda young for a MI, but nothing is impossible, family history is what I would look at most. Good luck! Also weight, BP, lipids level and whether diabetes or not is important!
