There is the probability of complications such as memory loss, difficulty concentrating, or difficulty thinking clearly up to 6 to 12 weeks or more. Most people can get back to their normal activities about 6 weeks after the surgery.

One study indicated that only half of those undergoing bypass surgery developed memory or thinking problems within days after the operation, and that these problems continued for five years. However, other researchers found that mental deficiencies are common after bypass surgery, but that most people recuperate in 3 to 12 weeks.

Not thinking clearly and some memory loss may cause a feeling of insecurity, anxiety, etc.  There should be medication that can bridge that affect until you completely recover if you feel it is impairing your quality of life.
