I have to agree with Encephalomalcia. From the moment of birth, there is only one real guarantee in life, and that's that it will one day END. With medicines and surgery it is amazing how much longer we are now living. You don't have to go back very far in history to see that reaching 40 was something incredible. Now we see 50 as young. Why is death something to be afraid of? if there is something on the other side then you will have a nice surprise, if not, you won't know anything about it anyway. I wonder if a caterpillar feels anxiety before it forms a cocoon, just in case it won't turn into a butterfly, just in case it's all a myth. Take each day as it comes and think about just that day. A message from the bible states, think about today and not tomorrow because today has enough of it's own problems. I take it you have no religious beliefs? you seem to believe you will die and never exist again, which is the core of your fear. I personally don't believe this is the case, I believe we have to die to become perfect.
I am really afraid of die but if a peple not die they will find that they are very lonely because all their friends and their family members had die!
The way I look at it is that we are all in the same boat. Nobody really knows when they will die or how much time they have to live whether we have heart disease or have perfectly healthy anything can happen. With that being said, why worry or think about it. Try to enjoy life to its fullest. To think about death is a waste of time. Time you can be doing something you enjoy or time spending with your loved ones. Try to be happy and bring laughter into your life.

I'm not a doctor but when I think of a phobia, I think of a fear of something specific that keeps you from doing things ie, afraid of spiders? don't go down in the basement or reach into dark spots. afraid of crowds? generally don't go out in public.
Anxiety may just happen without any apparent reason or it may be triggered by an event. Some people experience all kinds of physical symptoms with their anxiety. Nausea, light-headedness, sweating, palpitations. Kind of a nuisance since palpitations can cause anxiety in some people. Talk about a vicious circle.
I think almost everyone has some kind of fear related to dying so that's pretty normal. But to think about it everyday is more of an obsession. Can you think of any trigger that's making you think about it all the time? Quite often it's because someone we know has recently died. It's got to be tough for you having those thoughts float around all the time. If it's keeping you from enjoying anything in life because you're so sad or afraid, you may want to talk to your doctor. Hope you feel better and can enjoy life again.
