My wife was only 41 when se had her heart attack.  The dr says her symptoms were atypical BUT when you start listing them - as they had been happening over the course of a few months (jaw pain, dull ache in chest - they were all adding up and  were pretty typical.  Unfortunately heart disease does not discriminate by age!  She has been through tons since then and will be okay but it's stressful to think about and live with.  It is good that you are reaching out BUT remember - your heart attack experience will not be like anyone elses and remember that what you read or hear other stories.  Sometimes too much info can be a mind playing thing.  Thats why I read everything and she does not.  Take your meds, exercise and try to eat right and live, live, live!  Good luck.

I have not had a heart attack, but I do have cardiomyopathy and have an ICD. I'm only 34, so I can probably relate with how you are feeling somewhat. It's not fun to be in your thirties and be a heart patient! (Disclaimer to the over thirty population: I know, it's not fun to be a heart patient no matter how old you are.) However, it's better to be aware of the problem and be able to treat it as best as possible. Did you receive any kind of treatment? Angioplasty, bipass? Are you going to have more tests? I know several people who have had heart attacks. I have two uncles who've had heart attacks. One was in his early sixties when he had his heart attack. He is now eighty-two. He lives a very active lifestyle. He roller blades, rides his bike, enters contests and beats people much younger than him in races.  My other uncle had his heart attack in his early sixties as well. He is now about eighty and also lives a very active lifestlye. He works full-time and has a regular golf schedule as well. In addition to having multiple heart attacks, he also has all kinds of genetic heart problems, including arrhythmias. His EF fraction is 25% and yet he has a tremendous amount of energy and lives the life of a twenty-something year old. A lot depends on what medications you take, what treatments you get, if you have a good doctor, and how you take care of your body both physically and mentally. Hope this helps!
