If I understand your question? Medications may be prescribed in combination with other treatments for atrial fibrillation. Treatment options may include and have listed:
•Drugs to slow the heart rate — When atrial fibrillation cannot be stopped using cardioversion, the goal is to slow the heart rate.
•Drugs to try to prevent atrial fibrillation
•Drugs to prevent blood clots — Patients with atrial fibrillation and heart disease are at especially high risk of stroke.
•Blood-thinning medications (anticoagulants) such as aspirin may be prescribed.
