blood test

I just received my blood test in the mail from my doctor.  I have no idea what I am looking at.  All I know is the following areas are considered high but I do not know how high and if I should be concerned about any of these.
Triglycerides 157
Cardio CRP 23.2
Total chol.     197
I am 45 years old 5 feet 6 in and weigh 152
Should i be concerned about these results and what action should I take if any.  It something about inflamation.  I have asthma and I have a cold when the blood test was done.

Thank you
Tammy

Triglycerides are slightly elevated.  Cut down on your carbohydrate diet.
The CRP is really high.  Means there is inflammation which is putting you at risk for developing CAD and heart attack.  May want to consider taking a statin such as zocor or lipitor.  The statin will also lower your total cholesterol.  you should also find out what your LDL level is.  We no longer follow total cholesterol, only LDL and HDL.
