chest pains

I am 30 year old female..I get migraines quite frequently and have noticed some chest pain over the last year..mostly when taking my migraine medication....

now over the lasgt 2 weeks I have experienced a more scary chest pain...it is stronger and the first time I noticed it it took my breath away.  it then got occasional for a couple days and now today it is back.  it feels like my heart is beating like crazy but my pulse is normal.  it feels like something is stuck in my throat and that I need to vomit.  does anyone know what this could mean...is it because of my meds (imitrex) or maybe taking too much over the counter pain pills.  or maybe something else that I should be taking a closer look at?

thanks

Hi sessa333

My guess is they don't think it's urgent but want to do further tests to rule things out, to be on the safe side as they would with anyone presenting with those symptoms.

I would be inclined to ask them directly though. I would ask what the results were, and what did they see that leads them to want to see you again.

Hi there.

Have you over had an echo/sonar of your heart?  It might be a good idea to ask your GP for a referral or go and see a Cardio for a heart sonar.  Not to scare you, but palpitations (the crazy feeling) and chest pain and even migrains can be indication of a heart abnormality.  Maybe valve-related or arteries.

Please let me know if you had an echo done.
