cholesterol

my total is cholesterol is 274 .  hdl is over 107, can't measure ldl and trig are 75.  what does this mean -my total was 230 last time again with hdl over 107

I say that because there is a vast difference in the two readings. It's as though you drank several pints of full fat milk or something before your last test.
I had a test done last week, and as usual I had to fast for 12 hours beforehand. I was only allowed sips of water. I stop at 8pm and then have the test as early as possible, around 8am.
