I understand your concerns about your sister and the marriage and children issue. I was born with born with a valve disease myself and was unsure about the baby issue. I had my first child in March 2001 and had valve replacement surgery in Dec 2001. After the surgery I had to more beautiful children with no complications.

pinky,

Thanks for the post.

I can see you are very concerned about your sister. Unfortunately, there are a multitude of different congenital heart and valve diseases. Each of them have a different course and prognosis ranging from benign to lethal in utero.

There are a lot of valve diseases that do not need surgical treatment and are followed over time with echocardiography.

I would have to know more details to make further recommendations.

good luck
