constant bloating, pressure

I've suffered with a cronic problem for years with bloating, pressure, never feeling hungry. I wonder if it could be heart disease. When it's at its worst I feel pressure in my chest and back and some times the heart area. I did have a heart murmur when I was born and had some heart surgery when I was little. I have always thought it had to be something wrong in my digestive tract but maybe it could be heart disease. I'm desperate. Thank you for your help.

The post is opened for everyone interest and can input as many as you can.

You're mentioning as my case.  Only I didn't have an issue of swelling ankles....  I rolled on the bed of bloating tummy, both side pain....  Always happened around 4:00am.  I got my back chest pain and shoulder area.  Later developed of SOB because of the bloating tummy pushes upwards.  I think it got no more room there!

I'm only taking diabetes tablets and Motilium for nausea.  Watch out the Verapamil.  It caused me having a fatty liver.  My blood pressure is still in very good level.

I also called everywhere for help.  Please help.......

I have a cramping problem - and bloating belly as well.. im on verapamil
and a dieretic medication daily.  for h.b.p.   got swelling ankles from the verapamill ( never had this before )  so on came the dieretic -  since iv been on it, 2days now.. I get a bloating belly every single time I eat something !  and I get trapped gas build up  that pushs upwords heavy.
this also triggers cramps to happen - sometimes very harsh and painfull
in my upper back - and shoulder area.  I burp like mad, and belch heavy at times - this helps but it takes forever to feel good.. Iv taken Gas X
pills - drank plenty of water - yet its slow to release ..

I watch what I eat , and try to keep the salt intake low or at none.. but
I think alot of foods even good foods healthy types.. have hidden salts
in them and msg as well.
im wondering if this could be, the medications doing this to me..
my doctor - cant figure what it is.. it mostly happens at night when sleeping , I wake up with cramping pains.. sometimes very bad..

wish there was something I could take to stop this ???? help ???

The cardios said as far as my pacemaker is working then the heart is fine.  Don't have to worry about what rhythms come.  They're not going to bother even my heart has gone flat or blowing up like a balloon!  Just because it is not their hearts!

My valves are OK.  Tricuspid is moderate reg.  Mitral valve is mild reg.  Dr said there is nothing.  I didn't have swollen legs but my heart sometimes run like "express train".

My tummy is bloating.  It likes wanted to "pop" after eating.  It causes my chest tightness as well.  Any help that can you offer?

since you already have or had a known heart problem i suggest you see your doctor. if you have had valve replcement surgery it is common for heart failure to occur. i have had all four valves replace and have cardiomyopathy. when my heart failure acts up i have a very swollen abdomen swollen legs and and severe tachycaria. i am hospitalized with heart failure now. it can be  very managable with medication. it does require me to be hospitalized from time to time. it would not hurt for you to make an appointment. jj7

They gave radio active scrambled eggs to take before the scan.

Mine is not normal but non-specific.  It likes a "Sick Sinus Syndromes".  Motilium works well.  Now my gastro Dr said don't have to take because my gastroscopy works out normal.  The previous gastroscopy said, "mild reflux".  Then all the cardios/Drs said was tummy not heart.

That sounds just like a test that I had done. I don't remember them using radio active stuff, but it was a test to see how quickly food went throu my stomach and the test results were normal.

Ask for a Gastric Emptying Studies.  It might solve your bloating tummy.  I won't feel hungry too.  If I didn't eat whole day, I feel fine.  I got diabetes, then I don't know the dizziness was from blood sugar too low or hungry?

I like your art work. I only saw 2 pictures on the site. They're well done. Do you do watercolors, acrylics? I care for the native wildlife in the NW. We tend everything from hummingbirds to eagles, snakes, turtles, chipmunks to bear cubs and fawns. We even get the occasional newt or salamander. Never a dull moment.

Take care of the tummy. Bloating doesn't sound like a big deal but if it's your belly busting out all over, it's miserable.

I have actually recently been eating yogurt for the probiotics and it doesn't seem to be bothering me. I know I'm not lactose intolerant though because I had a lactose test done.
What kind of wildlife do you care for? I paint wildlife, you might like my art.
Here is my web site...dylanpierce.com Thanks for your help.

Sounds like you have a good diet, avoiding all the common triggers for bloating. What about probiotics? Being dairy free, that leaves out the yogurts. But there are probiotics in pill form. I mix them with formulas for wildlife care, especially with baby bunnies that have very sensitive digestive tracts. I'm just rambling and guessing here. I do hope you feel better soon.

I am a guy. 21 years old. I did have an endoscopy but not a sigmoidoscopy. I've been to a few doctors and stayed overnight at the hospital for several tests. One doctor gave me heartburn med, which is silly to me now. I have a very clean diet. I'm gluten and dairy free and vegetarian( which has helped tremendously). I try to eat alot of raw foods. I even fasted for five whole days on juice and water and never feelt hungry! I'm about to go see an internal med doctor.
Thanks

I've had bloating and swelling for a little over a year now. I thought it was related to my wacky heart so I lowered my sodium intake. Then I thought it was just me getting older and having bowel problems. Added more fiber to my diet. Turned out to be a giant cyst on my ovary. Now that was a surprise to me. I had it popped out on Thursday and already I feel so much better.

Obviously if you're a guy, this won't apply. But you'd be surprised at the different things that can cause bloating. Have you had a sigmoidoscopy done?  I've had a heart murmur all my life. I doubt that would cause bloating. How is your sodium intake? We can all reduce it a lot and still get enough. Silly question: have you discussed this with your doctor?

I have that too.  The doctor went thro' the gastroscopy and colonoscopy.  All fine.  The heart doctor said it is nothing to do with the heart.  I have to learn to live with these now.  As mine, now I develope SOB because everything in the tummy pushes up.
