I am 50 years old, I had a second heart attack in February of 2010. Symptom free up until 3 weeks ago. Started having heart attack symptoms again 3 weeks ago. The Doctor left an 80 % calcified blockage in the LAD. The Doctors staff made a mess out of my insurance papers, family leave law papers, appointments and prescriptions. I went to another cardiology group 35 miles away. I started having heart attack symptoms 3 weeks ago. The new cardiologist cannot believe the 80% blockage could cause these symptoms, and will not do anything. My internal medicine DR. thinks this cardiologist is nuts, and I am on the verge of a major heart attack if not death. I went to the Hospital where the new cardiologist is and they gave me stress test and said nothing was wrong and sent me home. I live in the Fox Valley area of Wisconsin and I made an appointment at Froedterts in Milwaukee in 8 days, because the symptoms keep getting worse. Doctors are all idiots!

One other note, one of the cardiac floor nurses told me, never enter the Hospital through the E.R. they will kill you down there.

Chatter+ally, you are niave at best, no they did not check my cardiac enzymes when I was screamed at for bothering them. The EKG was normal, so no heart attack existed in their minds. These idiot Doctors here don't do that. The Doctor on call for my Doctor ordered my admission to the hospital bypassing the E.R. Doctor and he ordered cardiac enzymes monitored overnight. The E.R. Doctor I might add other patients on rate my doctor .com accuse him of treating patients like dirt. Of course after reviewing the number of malpractice suits against this Doctor as listed on court records I could see why he is getting sick of seeing patients. 22 hours after my admission an emergency cath team was called in on the weekend to do the cardiac cath.

As for driving over a hundred miles, it may be inconvenient, but relying on the malpractice Doctors here can cost you your life. I checked myself into another Hospital here for heart attack symptoms because the Hospital I was at in February left in an 80% blockage in the LAD. They did nothing, said nothing was new and discharged me. My internist is going nuts, as he believes the artery could collapse at any time. I will travel to Milwaukee, get my treatment, and pursue this latest Hospital that released me with our Board of Professional Responsibility.

If I had my way, 99% of Doctors would have their license yanked, period!

Jon is right.  Callinig ALL doctors idiot is not the answer.  I find it hard to believe that any ER personnel would imply that you were a bother to them.  Did they do any blood work to check your cardiac enzymes?  I certainly would not want to have to drive over a hundred miles to get to my doctor if I was having a heart attack.  It just seems that there is more to this than you are posting.  I just can't imagine a medical mistake of this magnitude.  Take care and I pray you will find the care you need and close by.  Ally

I would move to another state where drs are not idiots.   i hope you get your problem taken care of i know thats a very scarey thing. be sure your taking aspirn everyday to keep blood thin and flowing.  wish you the best and hope you get a dr who cares and knows what hes doing .   in Georgia i love my drs they are the best

I didn't mention when I went to our local hospital having my first heart attack, I was screamed at for bothering them at the Hospital E.R. by the E.R Doctor.I was told to go home and make an appointment with my own Doctor and see him. 22 hours later I was having 3 cardiac stents put in my RCA.

Doctors are idiots. Simply because some jackass screwed off in school between 6 and 12 years doesn't make them a Doctor. If you cannot apply what you learned you are useless to the public. Wisconsin is a state that does a very poor job of disciplining professional people. That is why so many poor choices in the medical field land in this state.

I have had more BAD Doctors in my life than good ones by far. If it was up to me, most would lose their license to practice. I recently moved my Rheumatology care to Milwaukee, a travel of 125 miles. Best decision I ever made. This Doctor asked me one simple question, "Has any of your Doctors EVER found the root cause to one of your medical problems before they threw every medication in the book at it?"

Don't ever defend idiots you never met, Wisconsin is full of idiot Doctors, real medicine doesn't get practiced north of Milwaukee.

I am sorry for all your issues, but to come on here with a post stating all doctors are idiots is not the answer. To call these people that went through 4 years of college, 2 years of medical school and another 2 - 4 years of residency is a bit of a reach. You may have had a bad experience, but don't classify all doctors as idiots, much of the patient/doctor relationship falls to us.
