ectopic beats

high im a 22 year old male who doesnt smoke, take drugs,i drink occasionally. i do have anxiety but it is not that bad anymore. i also have ocd. I have been having what the doctors would describe as ectopic beats for the past year or so. i have had tests done over the past year ecg, 24hour monitor, chest x ray, heart scan and blood tests. they have all came back normal. But the thing that is worrying me is that they seem to be getting worse. i feel like a pause im my heart beat which finishes with a thud but sometimes it doesnt. But it's not just the pause that worries me it's the head rush and the weird feeling in my chest and stomach that i get when i have a ectopic. I also feel a occasional sharp pain in my heart which is quite new. I have also been having spells of lightheadedness for the past 2 and half weeks. i had my last tests done about a month ago. which involved a ecg, chest xray, blood pressure check and a blood test. does anyone else getting any of these sensations there really worrying me and im starting to think im going to have a cardiac arrest

If you are having persistent palpitations and symptoms of lightheadedness, the safest thing to do is to be evaluated by a physician.  A holter monitor would be helpful to look at your heart rhythm over a 24 or 48 hr period. Often, ectopic beats, PVCs or PACs, may not increase your risk of any other heart related problems. However, this should be evaluated by your physician. In the correct scenario, medications such as beta blockers can be prescribed to improve symptoms.
