exertion breathlessness after aortic and mitral valve replacement

Has anyone else experienced this - I believe it started straight after surgery and to todays date has been present for over a year.  My electrophysiologist thinks - from my last echocardiogram - that the aortic valve may have a fault - whether scar tissue or mechanical - rather than a leak which was previously thought.

Thank you for responding.  I don't feel short of breath unless I am doing something physical.  Sitting at the computer, reading etc don't cause me any problems at all.
