fever after lad stent

30 days after LAD stent  I am running fever of 101 about every 2-3 days.  I am taking plavix and 325mg asprin once a day and was taking ibuprofen(800 mg) to combat the fever.  However, it keeps coming back when I stop the ibuprofen. This does not sound normal to me.   I feel like I have had the flu for a month.  Is this possibly life threatening?  What do I do next?  I feel horrible.  I am a 61 year old male with no previous heart problems.  I am very weak and have lost about 12 lbs since stent on June 6th.

LISTEN TO MOMTOFOURBOYS!

You are in a different game now.  You DO NOT any longer drag around feeling like you have the flu for a month, waiting until you're really down and you finally let your wife take you to the doctor for an antibiotic.

THIS is the game where you lie around for three or four weeks feeling like you have the flu, during which time the infection migrates into your circulatory system, and then you are in critical condition with your chest open while they try to clean the infection out of places where a pill or shot won't find it.

People like us, when we don't feel well, we are not brave little soldiers, we are not too busy doing important things to take time out, we ARE in the hospital trying not to make our wife or husband a widow(er) right away.

It's an adjustment.  But try to stay around long enough to make it.  Please?

CALL YOUR DOCTOR NOW AND LET THEM KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON.  it is hard to tell if it is life threatening. you should mess with the flu and just after having surgery, you might have some sort of infection. please please call your surgeon's office first and tell them what is going on if they don' think it is related to your surgery, then they will tell you or you should just call your PCP if it isn't surgiacl related.
good luck and please let me know
