fixed apical defect

After a stress test, I was told I had a fixed apical defect.  The doctor did not think any treatment was necessary.  What is the cause of this ?(mid-40's; no previous health issues) Does anyone recommend further consultation?

The low blood pressure may not be related to a heart issue.  I didn't have any symptoms until congested heart failure.  Told I had prior heart attack and damaged  heart cells that impaired heart wall movement (hypokenises) causing low casrdiac output.

Actually, the doctor did  mention scar tissue and possible past heart attack. I have never had any symptoms and realize many women do suffer the silent heart attacks.  I do have low blood pressure and passed out one time. The doc did not mention any other tests.

Fixed apical defect would indicate a loss perfusion to that area....cause can be prior heart attack (scar tissue) or some vessel blockage.  No previous health issues (known) does not rule out a past heart attack as some heart attacks are without any symptoms.  Worst case scenario.  There may not be any treatment available and the condition does not cause symptoms.  You should get an explanation for the defect.
