so i have been diagnosed with dysautonomia aka pots
i am thank you for the advice
I would seek another opinion from a different hospital.
o and not to forget the nurse practiciner also but me on the same med i have tried before and didnt help but she wanted me on it again she just didnt listen i even tried to tell her about a new thing that is happening where my husband says i vibrate in my sleep and she said i was fine as with all other docs
i had to go see a nerologist a few weeks back and he suggested another ablation and i went to birmingham hospital back in dec and the student there was making more since than the doc he said the same thing i needed another and something was going on whereas the doc said it was nothing i have mentioned it to my regular doc and my cardiologist and nothing is being done i have tried the medications alot actually and they dont help i either get worse or they make me feel really bad and i have never been on anticoagulants they say i dont need them i have heard about the pacemaker threw some nurses but once again they look at me stupid i think i am about to find a new primary doc and go from there i seen a nurse practiciner today thats in the same office as my regular doc and she was talking all crazy like get out and walk a mile a day and its like i told her i have no problem with doing it but how am i suppose to do it when i pass out doing just a little walking around the house or just little things can send me into attacks im just tired of getting the run around and tired of not having a normal life and always in the bed and coughing dont help it makes it worse
Well the problem is not unknown? the problem is your heart. You should not be left in this situation and should be treated. If ablation hasn't worked, then perhaps they should consider a repeat procedure. Have you tried coughing when your heart begins racing? the stimulation of the vagus nerve can sometimes slow the heart back down. Cold cloths applied to the face can also slow the heart.
If they are not happy with further ablation, then I would certainly inquire about a pacemaker. Have they tried medications such as beta blockers? calcium channel blockers? and are you on anticoagulants such as warfarin?
i have had a ablation and wore the heart monitors numerous times and it has showed my heart rate getting to 200 and this happens everyday almost all day i pass out about three times a week
What tests have you had? Is there a pattern to the problem?
