When iis blood pressure too high?

Blood pressure is 133/100-  I am a 46 yrs old woman- 5'3" 108 lbs. Is this too high?

Thank you- yes it was taken at rest. I just don't feel well. I am going to make an appt and see a Dr. Thanks for your comments.

If the lower number (diastolic) is always around 100, then this is too high and your Doctor needs to address it. If this was taken at rest, then even your systolic pressure is too high. around 120/80 is optimum. Years of high blood pressure can lead to artery damage and then disease.

Always remember to get the pulse rate. A blood pressure reading by itself is meaningless. Also note the arm the pressure was taken on. That being said, for your age and weight the upper pressure is a tad high, and the lower number might be a mite lower, but all-in-all nothing to worry about.
