An infarction that is heart rleated indicates heart muscle damage (necrosis). Often it is the result of ischemia (lack of blood flow) of heart cells caused by clot, occlusion of the heart coronary arteries or the cause can be direct heart cell damage from viral disease, drugs, medication, etc.
