high and low blood pressure and very rapid pulse

Recently I have been experiencing very high and very low blood pressure.  I will be 160/120 and the drop to 90/50.  Is this dangerous?  I have always had normal blood pressure, but recently it has been really off (high and low).  It will be high for a while, 30 minutes or so, and then suddenly drop very low.  I can tell when it does this and makes me feel really bad.  Sometimes when it gets high my eyes will become very dilated and this is not related to medicine or drugs (as I don't do either).  I have also had a very rapid pulse.  It is lately at least 100 and has gotten to 155 bpm.  What could be causing this?

Thanks... I have been to the ER 4 times and i have a lot of other problems as well.  I have been to upwards of 12 doctors and still don't know completely whats wrong.  I have a severe vitamin d deficiency and severe b12 defiency.  I am being medicated for both, but have had these symptoms long before I started the treatments.  I have a great internist who is helping just wanted to see if anyone had input. Thanks for your input... just wanted to see if anyone experienced similar things.  The BP is always resting and so is the pulse with arm rested.  thanks

Hi!,sorry to hear that you have these issues.
1.when measuring your blood pressure make sure that your sitting down quietly for about 3 mins.then make sure that your arm is supported.
every measurement you take then allow 3 mins rest in between.
blood pressures raises and lowers throughout out the day in all people.
the best time to take it is upon rising early in the morning.160/120 is high.
also please measure your BP upon standing this should go up,not down.
and you should also measure your BP in your other arm and their should not be much of a difference.pulse of 60-100 is normal(resting)the 155 you don't mention if you were resting or doing something.(if your were resting then get yourself along to the local accident dept.for an ECG asap.)
next stop however should be your doctor, do not try to diagnose yourself via these forums!that is more dangerous than your high blood pressure readings.
cheers:john.
