I had 'Angina' for more than ten years and no doctor was concerned. Now here I am later after going through open heart surgery for four 90%plugged arteries. I almost died in the hospital before the surgery. Angina was a tell tale sign all that time! Finally someone listened and it literally saved my life. Check it out. An EKG does not show the damage.I found that out. Keep asking. Also there is a very inexpensive test to see calcium build up in your arteries. Heredity is everything!
If you're male, if you drink and smoke and get no regular cardio exercise, and if you have a family history of heart disease, it could certainly be angina. If your health care system allows it, I'd recommend (a) several cardiac exams such as an EKG and an exercise stress test at least, as well as (b) taking up regular cardiovascular exercise and totally quitting the cigarettes and drinking.
Could be, angina usually comes on at rest not exertion. Have you spoken to a doctor? You probably should.
