leaky mitral valve

I was told that i have a mild leak in my mitral valve, the dr says it doesn't cause palpitaions but i still get them. I read about it and it says it cause heart palpitations, i am so confused. I am 29 years old and i dont know how this can be and how i got this. I have aniexty and i am not sure if this cause the palpitaions. I really need some advise from others who have this. The dr also said i have no click noise in my heart or murmor, I thought with mitral valve leak you have a click.

I was just wondering what you mean by the electrical impulses and conduction pathways for electrical impulses pass.

For some insight regarding the mitral valve.  The mitral valve separates the upper and lower heart chambers on the left side, and when the lower chamber pumps blood into circulation there is some mild blood leakage that back flows into the upper chamber.  The back flow is  mild so the amount of blood pumped into circulation with each stroke is not diminished to any significance degree so there isn't any problem whatsoever from the leakage.

Palpitations are associated with elecrical impulses that are related to some extent neurological sources and conduction pathways for electrical impulses pass, etc.

I have moderate to severe leakage of the mitral valve.  If there are symptoms it would be shortness of breath with exertion, chest pain, fatigue, etc.

Hope this helps, and if you have any further questions you are welcome to followup.  Thanks for sharing and take care.
