beta blocker

hello,

I am on atenolol since a couple of days now, i take one a day 25mg. i have the feeling when it wears of i feel a lot more tired but 2 hours later i am fine. is there a connection?
do flutters which last about 2 sec. mean anything?
Just for information, my heart structure (the piping) is perfect no illness. I went to an EP and he says the electrical is a little bit off but not significant besides pacs, pvcs and evtl. vts. but i have chestpain almost all day long, sometime its sharp. when i was a teenager i had those sharp pain a lot and i could not breath through and in a sportsphysical they found in the relaxing phase of an stress test svts when i was 14. can there or is there any  connection with my problems now? i had been fine for about 12 years before all those arrhythmia came up again. I got told my left ventricle is on the lower end of small but in normal range and the mitral valve was slightly thickend.

thank you michi

I have been told to take BP medication early in the morning since that is when your BP is the highest.

michi,

Fatigue is a very common side ffect with beta blockers. Some people feel that all day long. One thing you might try is to take your dose before bedtime, then the negative effects may be gone before you awake.

Most likely the runs of flutter feeling you are having mean nothing major from a prognosis standpoint given the data you provided.  Palpitations are a common complaint and again can cause significant symptoms. Look thrugh the previos post for some tips on how others cope.

good luck
