Exercise, Niacin, Fibrates ( such as gemfibrozil) and some statins can all raise HDL. Alcohol consumption in moderation can also do this. Whereas there is a strong link between low HDL and risk for cardiac death and heart attacks, there is very little evidence that increasing it with drugs ( appart from gemfibrozil and Niacin) actually improves patient's mortality.

Sorry to hear of your issues, I'm sure the doctors will provide you some very useful advice on how to go forward. Niacin can alsi increase your HDL if diet and exercise is not working, are you on any meds? Is your heart damaged and how is your EF% ? This information will help the forum doctors when providing an answer.

Good Luck,

Jon

Looks decent, your HDL should be over 40 (50 for a woman), exercise would do that for you. Other than that, looks good.
