multiple heart valve leaks

hi i have got 3 leaking heart valves and i would like to know how this will affect my other valve ?

Im an RN and Have survived 23 heart surgeries. Heart disease is a *****! Go now and call a cariolgist and explain just as you did on here.

I can understand your frustation.  You should be told the degree of leakage of the heart valves as well as your heart's EF (ejection fraction with each heartbeat...normal is 55 to 75%) and dimension of your heart's walls as well. That information would be helpful for a present evaluation of your overall heart health and provide a future reference. Your echo report should provide the information...I always ask for a copy.

i have had an echo scan done the leaks are 2 on the left and one on the right . the have not even refered me to a cardiologist and said it is satisfactory but only 2 years ago i had 2 leaks and now i have three . how is this ok ? they have never named the proplem or refered me to a specialist to give me advice on the things i should and shouldnt do and things to look out for . i am not stupid i have looked it all up on the net so i know wat to change but the neglect ov the nhs is staggering . or am i being over dramatic ? at the end ov the day it is my health and i am a single mum i am worried that if something happens to me wat will happen to my 6 year old son ...........feeling very angry and pissed off at the nhs and the lack ov care

You have some symptoms that could be heart related.  What tests have you had?

i am only 33 and was taking cabergoline . i had 2 leaking valves 2 years ago and now have 3 i get swollen hands and have a tight chest it feels a little like somebody is sat on me . i am aware of my heart beat at all times and it jumps and skips and thuds on ocassions . i feel tiered nearly all the time and often feel like im worried even tho i have no problems in my life at this time .

Mild, trivial, etc. valve leakage is medically insiginicant and usually doesn't progress or cause a medical problem.  Soimetimes as a person ages there is some calcification at the opening of valve and leaflets thicken and cause minor leaks.
