Can Thyroid nodules cause Dilated Cardiomyopathy?

Three years ago, my ejection rate was 70%. I had an Echocardiogram revealed last week that I now have an enlarged heart with my left ventricle only pumping at 20% ejection rate.
In 2003 a small nodule was detected on my left thyroid gland. and has been monitored with ultrasound once a year.  Two years ago, the nodule began to grow larger.  four months ago an ultrasound revealed that it has grown from a volume of 16.0cm in 2008 to a volume of 22.6 cm  and the heart problem started about nine months ago.
My TSH is always normal.
Is it possible that the thyroid situation is related to my heart problem?

This discussion is related to Thyroid nodule and arrhythmias and high blood pressure.
